The Indian Navy has officially released the notification for the 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme 2026 for the January 2027 course. This is an excellent opportunity for students who have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and dream of becoming Permanent Commissioned Officers in the Indian Navy.

Under this entry scheme, selected candidates will receive a fully sponsored 4-year B.Tech degree at the prestigious Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala. After successful completion of training, cadets will be commissioned as Sub Lieutenants in the Indian Navy Technical Branch.

The online application process starts from 29 May 2026 and the last date to apply is 18 June 2026.

Special Opportunity

From the Mechanical Engineering stream, the top 7 cadets may get an opportunity to pursue B.Tech in Naval Architecture & Shipbuilding at Naval College of Engineering, Kochi.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must fulfill the following educational requirements:

  1. Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination
  2. Minimum 70% aggregate marks in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)
  3. Minimum 50% marks in English in Class 10 or Class 12
  4. Must have appeared in JEE Main 2026 (B.E./B.Tech Paper)

Only candidates with valid JEE Main 2026 Common Rank List (CRL) will be considered for shortlisting.

Age Limit

Applicants should be:

  1. Born between 02 July 2007 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive)

No age relaxation is applicable.

The Indian Navy will bear all expenses including:

Degree Awarded

After successful completion of training, candidates will receive:
