The Indian Army has officially released the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Entry Scheme 125th Course, commencing in April 2027. Educational Qualification

Candidates must satisfy all of the following conditions.

Essential Qualification

  • LLB Degree (3-Year or 5-Year Course)
  • Minimum 55% aggregate marks

CLAT Requirement

Candidates must possess a valid CLAT PG 2026 score.

No other CLAT score will be accepted.

Bar Council Registration

Candidates must be eligible for registration as an Advocate with:

  • Bar Council of India, or
  • State Bar Council

The law college or university must be recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI).


Age Limit

Age will be calculated as on 1 January 2027.

Minimum Age:

21 Years

Maximum Age:

27 Years

Candidates should have been born between:

  • 2 January 2000
  • 1 January 2006

(Both dates inclusive)


Marital Status

Only:

Selection Process

The Indian Army does not conduct a written examination for this recruitment.

The selection process consists of four stages.


Stage 1 – Shortlisting

Candidates are shortlisted based on:

  • CLAT PG 2026 Score

Shortlisting is expected during the second week of September 2026.


Stage 2 – SSB Interview

Shortlisted candidates appear for the Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview.

The interview lasts approximately 5 days and evaluates:

Stage 3 – Medical Examination
